For a balance of great weather and fewer crowds, the shoulder months of May, June, and September are excellent. During these months, temperatures are very pleasant, the water is swimmable, and you'll find a more relaxed atmosphere. The off-peak season (November to April) sees many hotels and restaurants closed, but offers a serene, local experience for those uninterested in swimming.
