December to March is peak tourist season, coinciding with holidays and pleasant weather, so expect larger crowds and higher prices. The shoulder months of November and late April can provide a good balance of favorable weather and slightly thinner crowds. The rainy season spans from May to October, with the heaviest rains typically occurring from June to September. Afternoons often bring short, intense downpours, but mornings are usually clear. While humidity is high and the heat can be intense, this is the off-peak season, with fewer visitors and potentially better deals on accommodation.
